# Maximus Media House — AI Agent API (x402)

> Three x402-paid generative media endpoints for agents: flat-rate chat,
> fast/cheap text-to-image, and reference-conditioned image edit. Pay per call in
> USDC over x402 v2 on Base. No API keys, no accounts, no signup. Every unpaid
> request returns a 402 whose body AND `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header carry the full
> payment requirements plus the Bazaar discovery extension.

## Products (pay per call)

- chat — `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/chat/completions` — **$0.003 flat per call** (qwen3.5).
  OpenAI-compatible chat/completions. Flat per-call price, not per token.
- image generation — `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/images/generations` — **$0.01** (flux-2-klein-4b,
  fast/cheap 4B, ~6s warm).
- image edit — `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/images/edits` — **$0.02** (qwen-image-edit-2511):
  send a source image + an instruction; the model edits THAT image (identity/composition preserved).
- image generation (premium) — `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/images/generations` with model
  `flux3-klein` — **$0.03**: FLUX.3 klein premium
  house-quality t2i on Halo :8002 (ComfyUI v0.41.1, flux3 clip type). RE-LISTED
  2026-10-28 after a real render proved the route fixed.

## NOT SOLD (unavailable, honest 503 before any payment gate)

- video — `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/videos/generations` (hunyuan-480p-i2v) — **WITHDRAWN**
  (2026-10-28). The arena's live GPU render is not covered by the house one-GPU
  lock, so a multi-minute clip can be killed mid-flight; it is withdrawn rather
  than sold unproven.

## Recurring tier: prepaid balance (UNAVAILABLE)

Prepaid balance only funds the video rail, which is withdrawn; `POST https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/subscription`
returns 503 before any payment gate.
- subscription balance — `GET https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/subscription/balance?wallet=0x…` — query the balance;
  it returns `remaining_calls` (one clip = one prepaid call) and `remaining_seconds`.

This prepaid pack does not auto-renew: it is a one-time top-up, the spend stops when the balance reaches zero, and you top up again only when you choose to.
When the balance reaches zero, an eligible route returns HTTP 402 with error 'insufficient_prepaid_balance' and you can top up again at POST /v1/subscription.

### Paid-response billing

Every PAID response (and `GET https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/pricing`) carries a machine-readable `billing` block:

`remaining_calls` is `null` (never a misleading `0`) when the caller is not on a prepaid
balance; read it off the response you just paid for — no second call needed. Every unpaid
402 body repeats the contract in its `prepaid_pack` field.

## Composable output — durable retrieval (store / forward / cite)

Image and edit results are retrievable **durably**, so you can hand one to
another agent, store it, or reference it in your own output tomorrow:

- Every image / edit / video response `data[]` item carries `sha256` and a
  `durable_url`.
- Fetch the bytes at `GET https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/artifacts/{sha256}` — **no expiry, no
  signature, no paywall, no job id**. The handle is the content hash, so it never
  expires and identical bytes dedupe.
- Images also accept `response_format: "b64_json"` — the PNG bytes inline in the
  response (non-expiring).
- The 24h HMAC-signed `GET https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/v1/jobs/{id}/download?exp=&sig=` URL is
  preserved as an **optional convenience**; it is not the only way to retrieve
  output. Text (chat) output is returned inline and is already composable.

Call a paid endpoint with no payment header: you get `402` plus a `PAYMENT-REQUIRED`
header (base64 of the JSON body). Settle an exact-amount USDC transfer to `payTo`
on Base, then retry with the tx hash in the `x-402-authorization` header
(`tx_hash=0x…`, a bare `0x…`, or a JSON object); the gate verifies the on-chain
transfer and the exact price, then runs the work. A tx hash is spent once.

## Using it from an MCP client

Transport is streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC 2.0) at `https://agent.maximusmediahouse.com/mcp`: call `tools/list` for
every tool and its price; an unpaid `tools/call` returns the x402 PaymentRequired
object (with the bazaar discovery extension) in `structuredContent`. This host's
gate is tx-hash based, so settlement/execution run against the REST routes above
after you pay.
